I"m having problems sealing it to the factory oil cooler, both the top and the bottom, it not leaking at the threads. The oil cooler lines are new. Should I put a "O" ring?

Being you said top and bottom, would "assume" you mean at the radiator?

If so, wrap the threads with teflon pipe tape and tighten in stages. Wait a few minutes between the final stages of tightening. Then do the final step when hot.

The end at the adapter uses o-rings and they could be damaged or gone.

Its the stock cooler, and its new lines from GM. Its not leaking at the threads and the side with the rubber O rings is at the pump. I did let it warm up and retighten it but still leaks. There is a flare fitting on the cooler side it might not be seating on good. Its a new radiator but don't know if its a original.

sup jackson thats kinda weird, cause i just pulled my lines when i had my rad recored. i would say use an O ring since its not comming from the threads.

You're saying that the lines at the rad are leaking, past the flare?I hate to say it,but O-rings and tape aren't going to seal a tapered flare with any kind of reliability..It almost sounds like G/M subcontracted their replacement parts to a second rate manufacturer.
I did my upper cooler line a few years ago when it started weeping and it's been as solid as a rock.Used new fittings, hose, the works. If you've got a hydraulic repair[airport maybe, you are in Hawaii?],take your old fittings and have a new hose crimped to them, with the proper fitting orientation of course. It sounds like the replacement's got some bad flaring.I'd take them back for a refund.:(

well if that is indeed the problem check out hydra air by the airport. they will have everything u need, they had all the fittings i needed when i was doing airbags on my truck they are the best down here.

There you go,but if that doesn't pan out for you,try a farm equipmant repair and sales place. They do a lot of that as well.
