Seat Belt Harness Bar?

Anyone have a harness bar installed in order to use 4/5 pt belts without a cage? I measured and its 47 inches side to side above the bolt holes for the factory mounts in the B pillars.

Ordered. Also picked up a couple sfi cam lock harnesses too. I called nrg and they said it could extend from 28 inches to the 31.25 inches needed on the lower support rod to the bottom factory bolt hole. We'll see how it turns out...

Interested how 5 point harness works out. My seat belt hardware ain't what it used to be.

My factory belts were pretty shoddy, and ragged, so I think this should be much safer too if it works out. Ordered RCI 3 inch sfi 5 point belts for driver and passenger with cam release. I am almost thinking of running 4 points in the rear seat too...

stock belts are horrible from a safety point of veiw and the damage they can incur in an accident while better than not having them on its not like youll come away undamaged

as bad as 20some year old stockers are they are dot accepted ... those 5points belts may be sfi approved but they arent DOT approved and you could find yourself getting a ticket for failure to wear your seatbelt even if you have the 5point on


also want to note on that overhead seatbelt holder bar its mounting position of the rear shoulder straps conflicts with nhras safe use of 5point seatbelts , NHRA wants belt cross bar no more than 4 inches below driver's shoulder nor shall they be mounted above driver''s shoulder and the shoulder belts where they mount on the bar must not be allowed to move laterally on the bar

The bar I ordered drops lower than the factory top bolt holes. Also it has loops to prevent the straps from moving laterally. I think it will be just fine. I doubt I'd get a ticket for no seatbelt when its a 5 point in the area where I live.

I got myself a set of Coach's brackets and 3 point Corbeau's with retractors.
Not sure when i will get to installing it all but hopefully they will operate like OEM, the passengers will not have to do any adjustments. The retractors also lock into full race mode with a click.
