Anyone here have the same issue where the drivers side seat belt rubs against your neck? I cannot stand it! Anyone have a fix other than buying one of those wool slip on seat belt covers? Makes me not want to buckle up (even though i always do)...

Maybe relocating the the top swivel a little lower??

What timing. I just emailed kirban a day ago and I'm waiting for a response. back like 12yrs ago when I had my first buick he sold a D shaped seatbelt hangar that went in the stock location and kept the belt lower over the shoulder. It worked perfectly. My wife and I complain every time we are in the car. I just don't see it listed on his website and wanted to see if he could get ahold of some. When he responds I will let you know.

If your release mechanism is working properly, you should be able to pull the shoulder strap just enough to allow it to hang a little lower. However, if your release bar tab in the door jamb is broken, it will always remain tight. the tab and it's release mechanism is located near the striker post on the door jamb.

I think everyone here knows this little devil. One day it left me with read marks on my neck, That D shaped item sounds good. As for wool seat belt pads. You can buy some that are micro suede universal, or make your own. Go to a fabric store by whatever you want, ex padding, velcro, style fabric you want(even leather like) Needle and some time. Should come out pretty good if you have some talent.

Go to the junk yard and grab one off a Camaro or Firebird. That's what I did...

Thats exactly what they were. 5 dollar firebird seatbelt hangers. Which kirbans would try and sell for 35... I just threw my brand new ones away too lol. I'd have given them to ya had ya been a bit quicker. Dam. I didn't think anyone wanted these anymore. I personally didn't like the fit.

here is the auction if so: 93-2002 Camaro Firebird Grey Seat Belt Guides : eBay Motors (item 180538063550 end time Aug-01-10 17:27:30 PDT)

These are the ones that kirbans used to sell.

Ebay auction # 140431485162

those are the ones. And they worked great for me when I had them many moons ago. They change the angle of the belt enuf that it doesn't feel like you have a steak knife to your jugular. I just wanna say one of the things I love about this board is you guys can find anything on the internet with the minimalist of descriptions. I think this will be the one thing I get for the car that my wife won't b!+ch about! Thanks everyone

I've got a dumb question. Do they mount to the side of the head rest?? My seatbelt drives me crazy too.

Hmmm, i will just order new since if i pull one from the junkyard it will probably break after install!!!

Thanks Joe 1320!!!

If you lube it up real good, a used one would probably work fine.......... just a thought.
