I'm looking to replace the seat covers and upper door panels in my 86 GN. I'd like to stick with the original Palex material. Does anyone have some recommendations on a supplier for these pieces and how was the fit? Does anyone make new seat foams?
Thanks

There is nothing made that is correct for the gn. Pui or jax are different. You have to either buy the material or buy used seats. If you buy the material its expensive but dead on correct. Pui`s older stuff was real close but for some reason changed it to this dark gray material? I know of a place that has the correct gray material but it cost an arm and a leg!

I just redid my seats in a one off spin of the OEM style in Tweed and used brand new foams from Gbody parts.
They are slightly different since they are for a Monte SS and the upper cushion must be modded due to this.

Nos 4 gn dot com has the foam as well

The monte foam is the only repro I know out there

Bubba PUI is about the closest you can get right now. We sell PUI Seat covers upper door panels & rear seat inserts. We also carry the foam. As turbo nasty stated the horizontal foam is sliced in 2 different areas. Simple fix just glue the 2 together. then slice the 1 horizontal line for a GN or T.

asto-t the old PUI parts people would complain wasn't close enough to original. When PUI ran out every one wanted it. That is what happened they ran out of material from that supplier. It took 6+ months to find the new material they use. I feel the new stuff is pretty close to the same color.

Like the others said, PUI is the best match right now on the material.

The factory foam can be repaired, Cracks can be glued back together but I would also glue a patch of cloth over that area to help prevent it from coming apart again. If the foam has flattened out over the years you can take it to an upholstery shop and steam the crap out of it and you will literally see the foam expand back. Steam does Wonders!!
