Seat motor problem

My GN has stock electric seats and the motor spins but the seat doesn't move. I noticed there is a plastic coupling that broke. Can I just replace that or does the motor and transmission come as a unit?

The plastic couplers can be replaced. Gbodyparts sells them. They are know to break made of plastic.

just replace it , its like a fuse so if your winders are bound up its supposed to twist and slip off the drive and return to shape when you release switch ..but with age they just crumble even if there isnt a problem

Be careful taking it apart to replace it. Mine was so brittle it broke other places carefully taking it apart. I ended up replacing it with a 87 unit.
