SEFI8LO w/PTE harness question AGAIN!!!!!

Ok, i supposedly hooked up all the wires. I turn the key to ignition on and look for the 5v tps voltage and get nothing. The harness is installed correctly. My system is a felpro from 1999 with pte harness. I have one red wire going to 12v ignition source and 3 grounds directly to the battery. Am I missing something here??? I was told by a couple people that I should have two positive wires, one of which should go directly to the battery. Am I missing something here AAHHHHH, just figured out my digital dash problem and now this.
