I was trying to remember what shade of SEM vinyl paint was good for GN interiors. Saw a list that included the color "graphite" and I thought it sounded familiar. Found this link. You decide which shade of graphite will do the job for you ...

graphite is the 84 color bit i dont know what the 85-87 color is. i know its a lighter color than graphite, and a few shades darker from primer grey

GN interior paint/dye

I have used the SEM Color Coat Presidio in my '87 GN. Very good match. I would not say it is perfect but the car is 20 plus years old and sunlight takes its toll on the trim pieces so I doubt any one's paint is an exact match. This is a "dye" yet I have used it on metal surfaces also without any problem. As usual it is all about prep, prep, and more prep before you spray.

Well, if the link works that I provided, there are a couple of graphites that might work just fine. I have heard guys complain about the presidio, however, I don't think these colors must be an exact match. As long as it's a grey that is somewhat close, that's good enough for me. After all, in most cases you would be painting a whole panel. I usually make my own just mixing black and white. I mean, who really knows when they look in your car that it isn't the exact original color, and who would care? :D

For example: previously dark blue painted steering wheel and painted center armrest. Note the factory grey leather Park Avenue seats aren't the same shade as the door panels or the parts I painted. My mix was off. What's one to do? :(

If you can find an unmolested piece of trim that isn't faded your local paint jobber can always mix SEM interior dye to match.

That's what I always do.

Yeah, I did that on my dark red T. Can't remember what I paid, exactly, but somewhere over $50 a qt with no vaseline included. What a deal. :D

$24/pint and a pint is enough to redo a whole interior so it's really not that bad. How many cans of SEM will it take.

took a piece of trim with me off my t, around 1/4 window panel flipped it over and matched it perfectly sun doesn't fade the back side paid like 25-30 for the pint of sems dye, air brushing after detailed cleaning and prep looked better than new also had a different color ttop panel I had to replace cant tell from new. just prep time and spraying several light coats
