Is anyone suprised that Clemens and Bonds are both on there? I think its clear that as the human body gets older it starts to break down but those two freaks got stronger and better as they aged? I need to go thru the report fully but I thought there was going to be a few Chicago pitchers and players from both sides of town on there but so far there not listed. My suspects were Mark Pryor, Kyle Farnsworth, Joe Borowski, and Kerry Wood from the Cubs and Bobby Jenks, Jermaine Dye, Mark Buerlie, Jose Contreras and John Garland from the Sox. Cant wait to hear from the guys named.

Does this mean they are going after all the players who wear eye contacts next? After all they are a performance enhancer.:D

What this means.

I am absolutely crazy about baseball, live, eat, drink, and sleep it, and to me I wish the Senator had more power and cooperation during the investigation. I think that right now the only way for baseball to have any credibility is to insist that the unuion support a one strike and thats it policy. Im talking about be banned for life. Of course there will be an appeal process, but I think this is the only way. And please dont tell me about the right to privacy and all the ACLU nonsense. My favorite game is FUBAR because of this BS.

9 former Cubs are on that list

Im not sure how many of them were using when they were with my beloved but the one thing I noticed here is that just about all of these guys were average players at best. Man this story is like spinning a bearing on a brand new motor.:frown:

I agree Brer, heck half the names I never heard of, so oviously the stuff is not made out to be what is is, and you are right average at best players,if average at all.

This is being blown out of porportion. So what if they took some performance enhancing substances.

When I go to baseball games, I would rather see home runs than base hits. I want to see high scoring games not some 1-0 score.

What's next, go after guys that get sport massages or take a multi-vitamin. Both are performance enhancing.

How about the players that do coke, pot, or other illegal substances? No mention of them.

How about Senator Mitchell grow a set of balls and go after the illegal recreation drug distributors instead of some guy that wants to better himself. My tax dollars being used by a publicly elected official to go after drug use in a private organization.

Anytime you hear of a ragged a$$ skell committed a crime.....he was on some type of crack, coke, heroin, meth. How many times did you hear of a steroid user hold up a bank, buglarize a business/residence, robbery......never, they're too concerned about how they look/perform. The Chris Benoit tragedy was bad but it had nothing to do with steroids. How many times do you hear of the same story in the news that a father kills family then takes own life....plenty.

Selig stated that there is group of doctors working on how to detect HGH.

This makes me sick.

What...MLB is going to suspend the whole league:rolleyes:

Wouldnt bother me none,Baseball games sometimes mees with my regularly schedule programing

I agree 100% the only problem I have with it is the fact that it undermines the records of the old school ball players BUT I guess we can attribute it all to evolution!

I am not related to the Jason Grimsley, unless he gets a multimillion dollar contract on day;)

Personally 1-0 or 1-1 games I beleive are very exciting, mono o mono or
however you say it.

I want to see a game that was played on a level playing field, regardless of the score. But seriously, how do players that are doing it clean feel, dont you think they care?

What's next, go after guys that get sport massages or take a multi-vitamin. Both are performance enhancing

Massages and vitamins are LEGAL. These guys bought HGH illegally, without prescriptions black market style. Big difference. Are you saying laws shouldnt be enforced? Should baseball players not be subject to the same laws as you and me?

How about the players that do coke, pot, or other illegal substances? No mention of them
Baseball tests for these substances already, no need for a report.

My tax dollars being used by a publicly elected official to go after drug use in a private organization.
MLB is picking up the tab for this report, reportedly costing well into the millions of dollars, not your tax money. Mitchell is no longer an elected official. The congressional hearings are another story, but this is why we elect these officials, to make and enforce laws.

Chris Benoit?

Hey, wait a freakin' minute! Didn't Mark McGuire start all this cr@p? Where's his name on this list ? ? ?

They had a different drug then.

How do you know that the old timers did not use also?

Booze and women!;) The Babe was a notorious womanizer. Guys would party all night and be forced to play double headers the next day. The good old days.

The investigation was limited..

Hey, wait a freakin' minute! Didn't Mark McGuire start all this cr@p? Where's his name on this list ? ? ?

The list was generated as a result of interviews from people in the baseball community (trainers, players etc.) and additional evidence like bank records (cancelled checks to drug companies). The report indicates that the people named are involved but only a few of the names have been exposed as actually injecting a product namely Clemens and Petite. McGuire is off the list because nobody they talked to had information that linked him directly. Same thing with Sosa. Remember none of these guys could be convicted in a criminal court based on the information contained in the report. That is the exact reason why Clemens is still saying he didnt take anything. He knows it can't be proven. He would have to be caught on video before he would admit it to the world. Hes such a stroke. He should have just ended his career when it was the natural time and he would have still been a hall of famer.
