This is kind of directed for Bruce since I have his tranny in the car, but more may know. :)

I'm looking into getting a boost controller like the innovative controller which can control boost and ramp speed depending on the gear the car is in among other things. Someone else mentioned that the ECM was able to sense when the tranny is in 3rd or 4th gear. Is this true? I have Bruce's non-L/U billet trans/converter. Someone mentioned the 4 plug connector in another thread (which prompted me to post this in this section as well) and I don't think the tranny has that connector anymore with the non-lockup setup. Is there somehow I can make something I can sense at least 3rd and 4th gears with? That would be frigging AWESOME then. :D

Thanks,
Derrick

P.S. Bruce, the tranny and converter are running GREAT!!!!!!! Thanks.

not Bruce

but if I'm correct and it's a BR vb you should have 2 pressure switches on it a 3rd & 4th and if the wiring harness is still in there you shouldn't even have to drop the pan to do it?

Well....

You could but then we would need to ck with the Olympic swimmer again. I run the brake thru 3rd gear feed., I need to make another port to sense as that circuit is now utilized. No you dont have connector anymore. It would be a bitch at this point, and I do make a boost controller that hooks to the brake and switches bleed to control boost. In other words you can pick where you want it on and off the brake. Anyway.... Honestly... I wouldnt do the sense thing at this time.... And Great you are up and running again. I did have a customer today mention that very instance I had with you and how we dealt TOGETHER when you did have a problem. He was noted as saying..." That right there made up my mind" He said .." he knew who he was dealing with."
He did order trans so I owe you one for your loss...:D

I will say , I appreciate you as the customer and how you treated our bump in the road. I wish they were all like you. Thanks again Derrick and if you need ANYTHING please do not hesitate on making me your first call. Thanks again....Bruce....We4...:D
