Ses flashing like cra

After installing my new 86/87ECM I went to turn on the car and the ses was flashing really fast, and it wouldn't start could this be from not having the correct chip or is the ECM bad???

Reseat the 2 connectors and the chip and cal pac.

I tried that last night, it did the same thing. I'm using the chip and calpack from the 85 ECM, I've read that the calpack works but I'm thinking I need a chip for an 86/87

Thats it you do need the 86/87 chips.
