ive got a carbed 3.8 and im planning on putting on FI. i have the FI intake manifold, wiring harness and computer (87 cutlass ciera). i was wondering if there was a aftermarket wiring harness that i could use instead of the stock one to simplify the swap?if not i was wondering if someone could tell me where all the wires go. any help would be appreciated.

A company called "Painless Wiring" is a good place to start. I have never delt with them or any products from them, but I do believe they can do custom work too. Seen a lot of their stuff on show cars and custom rods. May not be cheap, but I really don't know. Bet they have a web site...yup www.painlesswiring.com.

Good luck!

P.S. You will also need a high pressure fuel pump (in-tank is the safest way), high pressure fuel lines (feed and return lines), high pressure fuel filter, block off plate for the stock location fuel pump (if it's a mechanical type that's mounted on the block), all the sensors, relays, in-tank sending unit for the new fuel pump, and a bit more.

Painless doesnt make a harness for any Buick engines.
You could use a Turbo Regal harness and have some one burn a chip for a naturally aspirated application.

so the turbo regal harness will fit or do i have to modify it to work? im also using a computer controlled distributor and the turbo regals use coilpacks so how would that work. i dont know that much about wiring so plz excuse my ignorance on the subject.
