In the next few months I'll be in the market for a shaved rear steel bumper. No bumperettes, no rubber strip. Completely shaved just like the 'glass ones. If it needs paint, that's fine, I just want all the "body" work already done to it.
Let me know what you might have or know of

TIA

That's exactly what I'm looking for although I doubt he's selling his bumper, lol.

Yeah, more than likely I'll just have to get a complete bumper and do the work myself

I had a pair that I shipped to FL from CT.

If you just want regular bumpers to do the work yourself I have several here in CT

Great to know. I have a couple local to check out first. If they're crap, what are you asking for one rear shipped to 02148?
Thanks for your time

i did mine,if you are a decent welder it is not that hard. everyone always thinks my car has glass bumpers.i have seen to many friends wreck theirs with glass bumpers and i would never sacrifice the steel strength for a minimal weight savings.it take a little skim coat to make them real nice, but well worth it. i also cut down my steel reinforcements so just the part that bolts up is there, and welded together so i have no bolts

If you use aluminum reinforcements, you can also weld the holes closed except for about 6 of them. Then paint the bolt heads black, and it has an old stock car look.

I have a buddy here in Chicago that knows how to do them, he owns a body shop/ mechanic shop he actually owns 3 GNs, and he shaved off my bumpers, they look great, he also restored and painted several GNs from the Midwest.

Looking for a bumper, doing the work and shipping can be expensive. find a local body shop and see if they can do it.
