Sheet metal valve covers and solid rollers can make for some added noise.

Yea that makes sense Leo...Problem is these Champion covers I have now leak, and I'm not buying another set. I've tried everything short of running two gaskets sandwiched together with silicone....Even thought about milling the lip off the covers and silicone them down. If I'm gonna buy some, sheet metal would look nice.

Yes they would. I would think Billet Specialties(SP) out of CA, the company that makes some bad a$$ oil pans would make them for the V6. I saw a set of them at the machine shop, but it was for a V8 and they were awesome.

Those valve covers look like the CAS ones except without the angled tops to clear the alt and heater box. Those could possibly be an early version.

I am running with the stockers right now and can not get the rears to stop leaking. Cork/neo could not cure it.
