I know this should be a peice of cake, but.. I bought a new shifter handle and I am transferring the parts from the old to the new. Problem is do I need to glue the silver trim ring where the shaft meets the handle and also the chrome trim ring on the stationary button? It all goes together but seems like these 2 peices will fall off if not glued. And help is appreciated!

The ring on the bottom of the shifter handle to the shaft should press on firm and stay put. However, the chrome ring on the stationary button on the right of the handle, could use a small dab of glue. Mine on my car has come loose recently and I need to glue it back. I would recommend a small dab of super glue used very sparingly. Just a spot on the top and bottom should be fine. Also, if you plan on keeping the car forever, it might be a good idea to buy a second set of these small pieces for future.

Thanks

Then that is what I will do! I was going to but then worried if I put too much I would never get them off if I ever need to replace it again. Thanks again!
