Will a local part store shifter cable work on a 87 turboT ? I know I can order one but I need one now

Did not for me, I even read that it would. I would get one coming from a vendor and save some headache.

I've got an Advanced Auto Parts chifter cable on my car.

The one I tried was from Oreilley's. I can't remember what brand it was though.
