Shifts in OD but won't shift in D????

Recently rebuilt my transmission and didn't realize I had this problem till I got it to the track. The tranny shifts great when in the OD setting at WOT, but for some reason it will not shift when in D setting at WOT. It just hits the rev limiter till you get out of it.(ouch! poor band) When I took it out and tested it after the rebuild I guess I never actually made a WOT run in D so it kinda suprised me at the track. Weird thing is car shifts perfect at WOT in OD. Unforunatly it shifts to 4th near the end of the quarter killing my mph. I'm thinking its just a stuck valve. Any input??

It will be awhile till I get time to check it out. I'll post back when I figure it out. It should be something simple.
