shocks and ride height question

My shocks have some age on them.....want to change them. Will this change the way my car sits? stance?

It shouldn't. The car sits on the springs, not the shocks. Shocks will definitely stiffen the ride. Get a good set - not a thing you want to cheap out on. I like Bilstien.
