Has anybody tried to tackle there own shocks? I'm sure that it isn't that dificult but I have never done it.Just ordered them from Highyway Stars. Any info would be helpful.

Air tools are your friend here. On the upper back mounts you'll need to hold the top with a 13mm wrench and the tops of the fronts can be a bit of a pain. Hit both with some penatrating oil and let them sit for a while. After that they should be fairly easy to remove.:)

Just cut the front ones off. Run a sawzall blade between the coil spring and cut the shaft, pull both ends out once removing the 13mm bolts on the bottom. So much easier than putzing around with rusted threads. Buy a shock socket - invaluable and basically necessary for re-install. Use anti-seize on the threads. Easy job if you let it be.
