Should I buy a new trans or get mine rebuilt?

I’m looking to get a trans and have been looking at extremes stage 1 to me it seems to be perfect for me since I don’t plan on racing it much, but I do beet the hell out of it on occasions and don’t plan on going faster than mid 11’s. The only things I have done to it is a TE60, Alky, injectors, chip , and all your more basic bolt ons. Or should I just get mine rebuilt by some one who knows how to work with these because the guys I have been taking it to have not got it right out of the past 8-10 times iv have had to taken it back to them, the main reason iv taken it back to them is because my dad is good friends with them that’s the only place weave gone to and the shop my dad used to work at had gone to and have never had any problems with them until now, I think it could be that the guy that has been working on it drives a mustang:tongue:.


So what iv been thinking of doing is get the one from extreme since there not to far and I could drive there and pick it up, put that in and then when I get enough rebuild the original trans so I have one there just in case something were to happen with extremes’ witch I’m kind of doubting ill have any problems with it.

Lonnie might be able to rebuild yours or sell you a rebuilt unit. Either case,give him a call and he will give you his best advice for your situation.
