I am using an smc kit which I bought 3 years ago, and since then I have always been using 95%ethanol 5% water and this has worked great for me. I was told by steve not to us any methanol in his kit or my warranty would be void because the methanol would be to hard on the pump. I am wondering as anybody tried putting any methanol in the smc kit? If so did the pump let go and did you see any performance gain? How about if you put 50%methanol and 50% water, would that be less harmful for the pump? I heard that by going 50/50 it is equal to having 124 octane fuel, could this be true? If I can't put methanol in the smc kit is it worth converting to a kit which could handle the methanol? Could I run more boost and timing as if I was running race fuel and see better performance gain. Sorry for all these questions but I would be thankful for any replies.
Thanks
Marco
