Should I open the EGR passage on Power Plate?

I know the EGR improves part throttle/cruise drivability, lowers EGT's at cruise etc. I also know it does not affect WOT performance.

Since my GN sees limited track time, should I bother opening the passage on the power plate? Will I likely fail emissions if I do not open it?

For those that haven't opened it, has it appreciably affected your car's street manners, gas mileage, emissions, etc.

TIA.

Ya know...
with all the posts asking this identical question, you'd think the mfr would provide a little more guidance on this. Maybe just print out the archives on this question and send it out along with the plate.

I just searched the archives and pretty much answered my question. I will mill out the square hole to keep the EGR functional.

Sorry for wasting the bandwidth...
