I was watchinh a show on the Travel Channel last night. It was about Ricer cars, monster trucks and rock climbing trucks.

There was a kid on the ricer part of the show, and I quote:

"You can buy a corvette for $60,000, I can buy a civic for $2000, put $2000 in to it and beat you on the street, and on the curves and everywhere else."

I am not kidding, are these people that jaded?

STICKERS !!!!

He didn't tell you that the $2,000 Civic was a stolen $20K civic and the $2000 mods were hot, too.

A $2000 Civic with $2000 in mods can beat a Corvette on a very tight autoX. Maybe with a 150 shot, it could hold one off for a while if the Vette driver can't drive.

You have to remember Mopar Muscle ran 13.6's in an auto trans, 132 HP Neon rental car by spraying the snot out of it (who cares if it blows up). Stock it would be 1/2 second to a full second slower than a manual trans Civic in the 1/4 mile.

The Kid saying it was delusional, but somebody could do it.

With the afore mentioned mods you might be able to get a Civic to out run a Corvette. But no amount of stickers in the world will make a Civic outclass a Corvette.

There's just something about driving a car with the legendary name Corvette that I just can't replace with a Civic. The name Civic reminds me of 20 years ago when my neighbor down the street had a CVCC (I think that's what they were called). Hardly a comparison.
