For sale is a set of Simmons wheels in good condition. Here is all the info I have on them

Fronts: 17 x 9.5", 2mm offset, 5 5/16 backspace, 2 3/4" lip
tires: 275/40/17 BF Goodrich-about 70% tread left

Rears: 17 x 11.5", -12mm offset, 5 3/4 backspace, 4" lip
tires: 315/35/17 Kuhmo-Needs replaced

They are chevy lug pattern, and should fit a Grand National, but I dont know if you will need spacers or not.

They are in very good shape. Not show quality, but definitely driver quality. There is some rust around the bolts that go all the way around the wheels. Im thinking it is just surface rust. No dents, or major dings. One wheel has slight curbage, but nothing serious, or that takes away from the looks of the wheels. Im sure with a little bit of work, someone can make them near show quality. There is a shop a couple of hrs from me that can make these like new for $500. I think they are nice enough the way they are to just put some work into them, and not refinish them. I was saving these for my next car, but just dont have the space for them right now. I am looking to get $2,300 for them or best offer. I would like to move them ASAP.

Maybe it would help to let people know what they were on.......

and when you say a CHEVY bolt pattern, full size chevy is 5x5 - Monte Carlo, Blazer, Fbody is 5x4.75 which WILL Fit..... also i can NOT see a GBody without major modification fit an 11.5 inch rear... 9.5 will be tight on the front as well..... which leads me to ask you again.... What did they come off of???

jus tryn to help

Thanks....I guess that is pretty important information:) They are 5x4.75 and came off of an 89 Trans Am.

I love those rims but wow they seem awfully big for a TA. Are you sure about those dimensions ? A few years ago paccio had some Simmons on his TTA 18x9’s and 18x10’s and they seemed to be about max http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/turbo-trans-am-tech/167151-simmons-wheels.html . I don't see any way possible a 11.5" wheel will fit on a 89TA...a 10" wheel is maxed out. Trent (ttafan) on this site just put 15x9" (5 1/2" BS) drag-lites on his TTA and they are right to the edge of the fender w/28" x 10.5 slicks...that combo the wheels would stick out another 1.75" plus the 315/35 tire is going to be 12.5" tread plus sidewall...goin to be nearly 14" wide. The front wheels have the same BS as a stock 16 x 8 TTA rear wheel...that 5.25" BS is going to to be real close to the the front suspension...plus a I'll bet those 275's rub a lot while turning...the stock 245's rub every once and a while.

also aren't the Simmons 2 or 3 piece aluminum? ...aluminum doesn't rust

Do you have any pic's of them on the TA ?

Thanks,
Scott

I was told by the owner before me that they are 11.5" deep. I tried to measure them myself, but it was kind of hard with the tires on. I measured close to 11.5". I dont have any pics, but I did see them on a Trans Am, and it looked good. I dont know if these are 2 or 3 piece aluminum. Are the bolts around the wheels aluminum? There is no rust on the wheels themselves, just slight rust around the bolts that go all the way around the wheels. Its not that bad, and comes off pretty easily. Any other questions, just ask

can't get the exact wheel width with the tire on since it is measured inside the rim but you should be able to get close. I'll bet they are closer to 10 or 10.5". Here is some great info for measuring the wheel size https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html

As for the rust...the bolts should be the only thing that will rust since they are probably just plated steel. From the pic it looks like they are 2-piece...center section and front lip/rim bolted to the back half rim.

I really like them but little worried about the sizes.

Simmons F-Series Wheels are TRUE 3-piece wheels, i am pretty sure the bolts used are quality Stainless Steel - from looking at the photos maybe it is just the frts which have the discoloring which leads me to believe it is probably just brake dusting...... I have seen Simmons wheels up close [and actually almost bought some NEW over five years ago] and they are quality pieces

The bolts are the only things that have rust on them, and it is not that bad. Actually only on two of the wheels. The other two are fine. No rust anywhere else

I dont have a car yet. I bought the wheels because they dont come up for sale very often. I figured if they came off an 89 Trans am, they would fit a Buick.

I measured from the edge of the tire, and it came out to almost exactly 12 inches.
