Sitting trans

Is there a shelf live so to say,for a freshly built trans to be sitting. There is no fluids in the trans. It has been sitting since 99' and is stored how it was shipped. TIA

If it was properly assembled i.e. (everything was well lubed) you should be fine.

Just make sure you work every gear over and over. The only thing here that would concern me is a valve that would be stuck. Lube well and run in every scenario a few times to just work all the valves. Being where you are in Hi you should be ok I would think too.
