size of stock turbo compressor nut?

Hello everyone,
I was just following the rebuild your turbocharger section of the GNTTYPE.org and it says that you need a 12 point 7/16 socket to remove the compressor nut.
Well,
I am down to that step (number 8) and the compressor nut on my stock turbo takes a 12 point 3/8 socket.
SO,
What size is the compressor nut supposed to be????

I used a 12 point 10mm socket (it fit kind of loose, but 9mm was too small), wrapped the turbine wheel in bubble wrap to hold it and I was able to zing the compressor nut right off. If you have a 3/8" socket that seems to work, use it.

I just removed mine last nite, 3/8" 12 pt nut. The directions on GNTTYPE website could be wrong.

I used a 12 pt 3/8 for mine as well. Also the rebuild kit from John Craig came with a new nut the same size.
