Ok this is for all the Older folks here. Do any of you older guys still do these types of things? I'm going on 41 years old now:eek: In Short..... I always look for a challenge to not only better myself, but those around me, while having fun doing it. Well in this particular case, my kids challenged me. I'm glad they did because it was a blast...

About two weeks ago I took up skate boarding, and Rip Stick (two wheel) type skate board. Problem with the Rip Stick is they are not made for a guy that weighs in at 225 lbs, yours truly. So, until they come out with a bigger, heavy duty one, I'll have to try and master what I got to work with....

Anyway, too my surprise over the last couple of weeks. My kids and neighbors think I'm doing pretty darn good. :D Got lots of laughs, neighbors driving by waving and smiling and more importantly....Showing all the young kids that older people still rock!

I must say though, these kids are very talented. However, I refuse to give up, and I'm only getting started. I am the new kid on the block. lol

You do have good insurance and sick days left at work right???????:biggrin:

Hey... I am 52 years old and just picked up a Sector 9 longboard:cool::cool:

No boards here but I can still get out on the ol' early-80s Red Line BMX bike for a spin.

I still get on my old Alva skate every blue moon. Its even signed by Stacy Peralta. I used to have a half pipe in my parents back yard.

My kids have a rip -stick . 2 wheel madness .. Im 43 years old 6ft 225 -230 . The first time i tried it i was on my azz quick ..i am great on skate's .. Roller blades not so much .. Great on a skate board .. But the rip-stick is trying to kill me .. Playing with the kids will really teach you alot about age .. They laugh they chuckle .. And thats all good ..cause i know they are not out in the hood doing drug's or someother worse . Like working for acorn .. Keep up the good work .. Hows the elbo's ?

redline mx 2 here .. I got for x-mas in 1980 .. I was one of the first people in the world to have an ultra dyno crank .. I was so proud ..two weeks later it was stolen from a bike rack out front of an arcade in mesa arizona ..so did you live in mesa in the 80's & does it have an ultra dyno crank ? Metal flake blue with red accents ? I have the key to the lock on the frame if so ..

Central Jersey BMX'er here and mine's a Pro-Line which is probably why I can still fit on it. I got the frame & fork for Christmas, 1980.

Broke the original forks (along with everything else on the bike at one time or another). I was one of the first with Red Line Flight Cranks. Here's the bike now:
