i just bought a pair of goodyear slicks from a neighbor. he didnt have room for them so i got a good deal on them($50). they are 26.5x10x15 goodyear eagle d1432. will these fit on an 87 tr. it doesnt say tubeless on them. do i need to buy tubes for these tires? also what size wheel should i use with these, 9 or 10 inch wide wheel? also what is the bolt pattern for a tr? backspacing for these wheels?Do i need skinnies on the front with these. or would it be ok with 235's?thanks

These slicks will fit , use and 8" rim with 3 1/2 to 4" backspacing .
You can run drag slicks without tubes , are these road race slicks ?

they sound like motorcycle drag slicks, goodyear does'nt have a size like that for a automobil.

i dont know if they are bike or road race tires. they are a harder compound than most the slicks ive seen. my buddy had them on his 69 camaro and they worked alright.

sounds like road race tires sold used in auto trader magizines, dont work to good at the dragstrip

I dont have the specs handy but I just saw a D14?? something compound on one of them NASCAR W/C showcars down at the Home Depot. But I think the size was a 28 instead of a 26.5. Betcha those are road race tires. You would think Goodyear would come up with a compound rating system that is easy to understand. Like if it starts with a D it should stand for drag racing! Thanks Eric Fisher
