I only plan on driving these to and from and at the track wich would be better?

stock t-rims with 275/60/15 BFG Drag Radial
or
Mickey Thompson Classic II Wheels 15 in. x 8 in. with MT ET Slicks 26.0 x 10" wide x 15"

Originally I wanted to keep a stock look with the t-rims but if there is a greater gain with the slicks I would rather go that way. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I guess it depends how far away the track is.
There is no contest at the track. Slicks!! There are some that will say that they can get good short times with DRs, but for us mortals consistiency is the name of the game.

If I put 26x10x15 MT ET streets on a stock T type wheel will i have any fitting problems and will I have to put tubes in them thanks

those M/T 26x10 -15 tires should fit perfect on stock T rims!..you dont "need" the tubes...i've never run tubes joe

Wouldn't MT ET Slicks 26.0 x 10" wide x 15" be to wide to fit on a stock t-rim? I was under the impression that you should or could only put tires that are 2" wider than the rim on a wheel. Wouldn't you have to go 8.5" on the stock rims?

why not just get the cheepest rim possable such as american racing and just put a pair slicks when u get their. IMO if you wonna go fast get slicks

It is my humble opinion that the slicks you mentioned are too wide to accomplish what you want on a stock TR rim. Go to the Mickey Thompson web site and see what they recommend for rim size for the 26X10X15 slick. You want the best footprint possible in order to take advantage of the slick you are using. A very common mistake is trying to shoehorn a tire that is too wide for the rim. You can make them work, but not very well. I'm not sure what the width or offset of the stock TR rim is, but i would say no more than 3.5 inch backspace to keep the tire from rubbing on the frame with that size tire. I believe the TR rim is 4" backspace. Take it from me, I had 26X8.5X15 M/Ts on a 4" backspace and they even touched the frame occasionally. Especially when aired down to racing pressures. Also be aware that 26X10X15 doesn't mean that there is 10" on the ground. You need to consider cross section and that tire has over 11" (about 9.5 on the ground. Do an archive search. There is plenty of information concerning rim size and offset.

Larry Smith thank you but I already know that the MT ET slicks are to wide for the t-rim I was woundering why another post was asking if you could put those on the stock rims origanally I wanted to put BFG drag radials on the stock rims but I am going to go with the MT ET Slicks on Mickey Thompson wheels like stated in my first post. Thank you for your help.

I have been running MT ET Streets 26 x 10.5 x 15 on T-type wheels with no problems at all, there is plenty of clearance and this was before new springs and airbags.

After re-reading the other posts, I realize that there are really two different questions being asked. Sorry if I confused anyone.
