Just pulled ( my first) my engine/trans/ drive shaft to day

yes all three at once. The slip yoke would not come out. We tried a pry bar, hammer, attached a come along to the rear and anchored behind the car. It never moved. Any ideas how to remove the slip yoke. It's an 85 everything factory not sure if axle had ever been removed, car has sat for a long time. When I had it running in 2001-2002 when shifting in to gear it would always clunk into and lerch slightly.

Cut/dig the seal out, tilt the engine down in the ft, spray some HD rust killer in the area. Let it sit, do it again. Apply shock force w/ a 2#'r.

grab a bigger hammer and muscle up

unless it sat under water most likely the yoke splines are twisted and its jammed on to the output shaft so the yoke is junk , no sense trying to save it so dont be afraid to hit it
you could try heating the yoke with a torch so it will expand

put a long tire iron through the yoke , holding the end strike the bar by the yoke with a BFH (like a 5lb sledge),it needs the quick shock

Wow, that is stuck. Careful with the hits sideways, could damage the case. Bushing is junk, but case can be rebushed.
I like the rod thru the yoke u joint holes. It might bring the bushing with it when the yoke comes.
As above, if twisted on the shaft you might be able to back it of a bit with the lever thru the ujoint holes. Then hit it off with the bfh.
