SM shows 0.0 retard, recall shows 2.7

Just replaced valve springs and have been out testing. Rolling from stop light and hitting WOT, O2 are at 800+, retard shows 0.0 till I got out of boost at about 14psi. Hit recall, O2 was 792, and kr was 2.7 at 53 mph. I've had my SM for about 2 weeks and trying to learn and also just ordered Alkycontrol and TT chip. My car has Walboro pump, hot wire, adj reg. Is the kr happening at shift points, and not registering on main screen of SM? But why on recall?

Maybe it occurred when you lifted? Try roll into it in 3rd and see if you still get knock.

Ok, thanks. I guess what's confussing me is it's not showing up on the O2/ kr screen, just on recall.

Well, took her out, was in 3rd, nailed it and hit about 16 psi. Hit recall, and the SM recorded nothing. Meaning, no data. So hit it from 2nd, same thing. No recording. Hit it from a dead stop, SM recorded nothing. So now I'm wondering if something isn't wrong with my SM?

Might want to check your TPS. TPS voltage needs to exceed 3.00 for at least a couple seconds before it'll record.

Only got one reading, traffic was too heavy. Hit it from second and SM read 792 O2 and 0.0 kr. Turned on the TPS screen to verify volts. I will try again tomorrow. No, its suppossed to rain. Later in the week.

Can someone answer why I only saw kr in the recall mode, and not on the real time screen?

If you show knock on recall then it happened whether you actually saw it on the display or not. Could of happened on one frame only then went away or maybe it was from another run?
