smc motor?

ok, i purchased a used smc kit and went to activate it and the pump leaks fuel out all around the housing.does anyone know were i can get new pump or get mine rebuilt?

I would call Steve and see what he can do for you. Here is the phone number that I have for him 270-522-9376. I don't know if it is still good or not since he closed his doors. You may also want to try Jason at RJC since he used to sell them.

youll also need a 1/8npt die to cut the threads on the end of the new pump

I think he's talking about the newer little black pump that mounts on the dryer. Not the older in-tank ones.

The older in tank pumps wouldnt leak, they would just seize up.

oh well he didnt state what it was but i have seen SMC bottle pumps spraying (leaking) into the bottle from a break at the base off the brass outlets fitting which some might call the housing

pictures can be a wonderful thing but i guess some are still working the internet like its the 80s

Looking at his list of mods one would wonder why he would buy a used system and run that type of risk. But thats a whole other issue.

If its the little black pump, I sell those. As I use them in the turbo JetSki kits.

I wouldnt use it on an application that made any real power as they cant flow any real volume due to their size and motor.
