Note...(alchy was set to spray @ 15lbs boost & pump speed @7-8)
Ok...I was out driving & noticed that my alchy spray-on light wasn't lighting up when I was into boost, but I could tell it was spraying by watching my egt's drop rapidly). I pushed the test button & still no spray-on light. I called Steve & he told me to test it by having someone hit the test button & raise pump speed to 10, so I did that & the spray-on light did come on & my pump pressure gauge showed 70. If I set my pump speed any lower than 9 though, my spray-on light will not light up. I did test my pump pressure with the pump speed @ 6 & my pump pressure gauge showed 50. Steve suggested that I lower my pressure switch setting inside the gauge to a lower setting & see if that would trigger the spray-on light to come on earlier. Well, I set it all the way down to 10 & still my spray-on light only comes on when pump speed is at 8 or above.
I have to say that Steve (smc) is a great vendor to deal with & I know he'll take care of any real problem, so I'm not worried about that at all...I'm just trying to see if anyone else has had this problem & if so, did lowering your pressure switch setting inside the gauge fix the problem for good or did you fix it another way? What would make me have to lower the pressure switch setting inside the gauge...is it wearing out? I'd just like the spray-on light to light up when pump speed is at 6 or above, but how low can I go with the pressure switch setting???
Thanks, The Darkside
