SMC Question??

How long does a full tank of alky last? I hear that people are getting 60-80 passes with propain. But I wouldnt run that many passes before adding some 116. The TTA is street driven 95% of the time. Also what chips are you able to run succesfully with the SMC? Is it uncommon for people to run race chips with the SMC??

A full container of alcohol can last me probably 8 runs.
I can drive my car around all week on a container with my SMC set up. I used the Extender chip which is set up with 23 degrees of timing in low and 21 degrees in high. I have a Translator plus and am very confident that there is much more left in the combo by playing with the timing. I currently am running 25-27lbs of boost with a TE45a turbo on 94 octance Sunoco Ultra and I NEVER run race gas. My car is capable of running high 11's on the radials with this set up.

No, I have a single nozzle on mine.

TTA69 you need to list your combination so you can get informed answers. What works for Lee may not work for you. For instance he runs 25-27 psi of boost, but you will not be able to run that with a smaller turbo and a stock IC.

Every combination is different, some cars run much higher timing and less boost, some vice versa.

With a stock IC and heads I believe a lot of guys are getting ~ 24psi and about 23º of timing. I would start at about 22psi and work your way up from there. With a big neck IC or other IC you may be able to touch 25 or even 26psi, but start low and work your way up.

Dont forget to try different mixes also, like 80/20. 70/30, or 60/40. I like 70/30 so far

cant wait for warmer weather to start tuneing the alcohol with water and raise the boost
