I just purchased a used smc alky system that supposedly worked when it was taken off but when i got it found pump fried - kaput. This thing also did not have the wires hooked up to the terminal strip on the control box so I am not sure what goes where if anyone can help with it I would appreciate it ..

If it's the non progressive controller... here's a pic of mine. Knobs are on the top, I'm sure you can figure out where the red/black wire goes by the vac hose.

hey Madcat thanks a zillion - would a regular gn pump work on this setup and also where can i find the plastic container since this one has a small hole near the top ,,>
Thanks again

Not sure on the FP issue, but I don't think they're built to handle alky. So I doubt it.

Is your's the pump-in-tank setup?? if so, then I'd send it to SMC and have them swap everything over to a good tank. I had to send mine out for a new pump when I bought it, and they were great and quick too.

yes -mine is pump in tank set up and I allready removed pump from the tank to double check for loose connection on the pump but no luck --it is bad.Can you tell me what did it cost you to get it done by smc..

I don't know what it cost, the guy that sold me the kit covered it since it never worked.

I'm very sure that he will be reasonable, they were very good to deal with when I was talking to them.

GIve them a shot... here's their site and a #'s on it.

Good Luck.

Pajo, Steve is a good guy, and really helpful with parts and support. You have his system, I'm sure he can hook you up with what you need to complete the system.
