FINALLY had time this weekend to start hooking up the SMC kit. Everything's going well. Just curious, I drilled the hole in the up-pipe (a little dremeling after the 3/8" hole) and got the nozzle mounted. My question is how is the nozzle supposed to sit inside the pipe? The washer that comes with the nozzle is pretty wide, which would have the nozzle sticking pretty far into the pipe. Am I supposed to tighten this 'til the washer bends and conforms to the curvature of the pipe? Or is the washer wide so that it keeps the nozzle near the center of the pipe (and therefore I shouldn't tighten it too much)?
No specific wording in the instructions (at least that I can remember). How did you guys do it? Thanks.

If it's the big heavy washer pre-bend it in a vise to conform easier to the uppipe.

Then it will tighten easier with the wrench and all. :)

You are correct tighten it until it bends, it won't protrude that far in.

Thank you salvage! I got it installed today, I'm pumped to get it on the road (after diagnosing the "SPRAY ON" light). The nozzle is in fine, and I epoxied the heck out of the coupling to seal the hole. Of course after that I saw that the angle was a tiny bit off, so the braided line is somewhat taught. But I'm gonna let it ride!
Thanks for taking the time to answer a rookie question.
