smoke out of exhaust?

I installed a Pypes exhaust system on my gn and took it for a ride I hit the gas to about 3500 rpm and the engine stumble and I started hearing a noise coming out of stock turbo I started my way back home and I saw alot of smoke coming out of the tail pipes. I check the turbo impeller and is realllly loose so time for upgrade, My questing is - Is the smoke coming from the oil lines to the turbo or something else. the car starts fine with no other noises coming out of the engine. On Saturday I am going to check the oil for any signs. Anything else I should look at?

Well, I took the intercooler out and found a puddle of oil on the outlet of the turbo

I think you have found your problem... Time for a rebuild or a new turbo
