Smoking Question

If your car is smoking and you are pretty shure its the turbo is there any way you can stop it from receiveng or or functioning for that matter until the replacement arrives. You know to have a normally aspirated v6?

Disconnect the wastegate, that way the turbo wont build any boost

What about stoping it from sending oil into your intercooler and stopping the smoking?
