I am going to remove the rubber trim on my front and back bumper. I want a cleaner look and thought I would ckeck here first if anyone else has done this. How are the rubber peices held on? I haven't even looked yet but I am assuming they are either bolted or clipped on which means I am going to have to weld the holes up . I am also not sure if I should keep or remove the bumperetts, what do you guys think? and has anyone seen this done or have pics??

The rubber (plastic) pieces are held on by 10mm nuts. very easy to take off. But the bumper brace has to come off also. Very easy project. Lots of holes to fill though

I'm going to do it to a set too. From what I can tell you will have alot of large holes to weld up but thats not a problem for me. Behind the impact strip are some dome headed bolts that hold the outer bumper shell to the reinforcement and you will need to remove them, when you remove these bolts you need to weld the bumper to the reinforcement because there will be no more bolts and this can only be done with a steel to steel combo, that means no aluminum bumper reinforcements. I'm shaving the bumperette's too.
