smoothing out

I have a freshly rebuilt carb, new intake. I have the mixture set and all the electrical stuff set.
My car idles ok, but I want it smoother and I can't get it that way. Anyone have any tips?

Look for a vac leak or exhuast leak at the manifolds.
When was the last time it got a good tune-up?
How many miles on it?
Could be weak head springs, worn cam...or just a simple crack vac line.

I tuned it up recently, 79,000, but carfax says that there was a rollback, so its probably aroung 99,000 miles. I changed all the vac lines. How should I check for leaks.
