So what are you guys spending for rebuilds?

My tranny seems to slip from 1-2 shift at 5500rpm I have shift kit from pts pressure regulator too. I am just wondering how much are you guys paying for good street strip tranny for my Daily driver. I don't think my tranny has ever been rebuilt either and the motor and trans had about 60k when I put the motor and trans in.

My tranny completely flaked out this week.

I'm getting a Jimmy's mid-tier rebuild for $1100, plus convertor. He says it should be fine for 12 sec. cars. He said a stock rebuild is $800.

Mike Kurtz (spelling ?) Century Transmission in Richmond, Texas is right at $1900 on the bench. That's the stage 1. Good for 11:50's.

Cottons, last I checked, started at $1100.

you're going to pay around $1800 for a good rebuild that has a billet forward drum and input shaft...that's about what i paid for Vince Janis to do my trans...never been happier...3 years later and it still shifts like the day I got it
