Solenoid questions

I am debating replacing my stock wastegate solenoid in favor of a Translator PRO solenoid and FTSS adapter harness. Is this possible to do with a car that does not have a Translator on it? If so, has anybody had any luck with this setup?

The wastegate control in the stock ecm and most aftermarket chips is a simple table lookup at X rpm set Y dutycycle. It assumes that the solenoid/turbo combo produces Z amount of boost at Y dutycycle. I would suspect that that solenoid would need a differently calibrated table.
