I have seen new tcc solenoids for sale that range in price from $40 - 135.
Why such a large difference?

Thanks
Rick

I used one from Transmission Parts USA ( universal fit ) . . . . $13.79 + shipping

One vendor specializing in Buick GN parts has an AC Delco with the factory wiring listed for $129.00

Did you have do any mods/changes for the one you used?

Thanks

The two leads (+) red and (-) black are short pigtails with connectors included to connect to your existing wiring . You cut your leads off your old solenoid and wire up your new universal solenoid with the existing wires going to your 4th gear switch and your power plug . It comes with a couple spacer studs and will fit the 200-4r or the 700-4r . I think it comes with a small instruction sheet . Works well IMO .

Of course on the original equipment type you don't have to do any cutting and splicing .

As they say You pay your money and take your pick . :D

X2 ^^, The Universal Solenoids work fine. The OEM Solenoids with the Harness are no longer made so the prices are high for the few that are left.
