Damn, I could use those for the ls1. It's super raspy from 2k-2.5k. My friends say it sounds like a boat gurgling in the water. One friend said "a high performance boat" :D

Anyone? Was thinking about maybe putting one into the end of a test pipe to see what happens. Theory behind this is the friction will help lower db's and the holes in the cone is greater than the diameter of the pipe. I suppose you could also stick it up the end of your exhaust pipe. (I've been told that before! LOL)
Dynatech is the manufacturer of this and it doesn't look like they are a fly by night vendor.

Well Mark, I fully support the idea of your car being used as a test bed for this product.:) I would think the reason no one has replied is because it's newer & we really don't know of any benefits/drawbacks from using it. I'm sure there would be an interest here because there have been alot of posts in the past concerning the dreaded exhaust drone. I have the Dynomax's that came w/ the KB stainless exhaust system I bought a couple years back. The drone at low rpm's sucks, to say the least.

You have a very good reputation in the TR community, & I for one would be behind you 100% in seeing if this thing really works.:)

I think the Turbo community has given up on tryig to sole the Drone ,,I think it is a lost cause, all the talented folks here and 2 yrs owning my car and numerous posts and guess what the drone is still there:mad:

But hopeflluy you ca be our savior:D :) :) :)

Let us know ,.,oh I was thiking of trying one just befor one of the mufflers,,Richard Clark is a well know car audio guy who owns a few GN's said he used 2 different mufflers (round +oval) so that the 2 mufflers dont add to the same Frequency(sp?),,so maybe just befor the muffler in one pipe would be better

Mark, I have stainless Ultraflows and ATR 2 1/2" pipes, and drone is not bad, and I'm picky. But, there was a fellow mentioned on here who has three mufflers on his car, and gets no drone, and still runs really fast, something like 10's or 9's. I was hoping someone who knows this guys set-up would chime in to let us know the secret. From what I remember, he had a stock style exhaust, and where the cross-flow muff is, he has a really large one there, and then into two regular muffs and out the pipes. Anyone remember reading/knowing of this? TIA.

Doug J just installed a roll cage and the exhaust drone disappeared...lol..

I have rode in a lot of Buicks and unless you have the exhaust uncorked OR have no mufflers, then drone is really no biggie.
Ride in a 5.0 or 4.6 Mustang with off road h pipe and Flowmasters and you will really find out what drone is. The best bet would be to change mufflers.

Yep, he's a friend of Bob Bailey. Bob can be reached at Ramchargers, or here on the BB. Bob was hoping to duplicate the system on his car, and said it was incredibly silent.

HTH :)

That looks interesting. I wonder where in the downpipe/exhaust it would placed. They show it right into the collector on the website but they are running open headers. There would be no spot right there for it at the elbow and the cone is pointed at the incoming exhaust. Wonder if it would make a difference if it was turned around.
