Clock is ticking! Thats a whole lotta cash!!!! Hopefully the winner is able to claim their prize.

the article says that the winner did claim his prize, but the ticket was damaged... the store that sold the ticket should have video surveillance footage showing him as the one buying the ticket.

They just had this on the news about the winning ticket. They said none of the numbers on the ticket could be read, not a single one. The store that sold the ticket could have a video of the person buying the ticket on the day and time and it wouldn't make any difference to the Lottery officials. The ticket must be signed and turned in to collect the money. A damaged ticket that can't be read is not going to help him.

The ticket is like having a check for $63 million dollars why would anyone let it get damaged? And wait until right before the time limit expired to try and collect it? Makes no sense.

the ticket has a bar code... that's the only part that matters..

and i seem to remember a story about someone somewhere that got to claim a jackpot despite losing the actual ticket. i'm too lazy and it's not important enough for me to spend the effort looking for the story, but it was in the last few years.
