I'm sorry to drag this out again guys but, I just dont want to have any regrets on this decision.
My stock D5 converter isn't locking up anymore and I have to replace it. While I have the tranny out, do I step up to a 2800 stall, or stick with the factory D5 stall? Car is 99% street driven.
I don't/can't power brake because of traction issues, and if I punch it while moving and it kicks down a gear, it can get squirrily. Is stepping up to a 2800 stall a waste of time for me?
Please share any experiences you have had stepping up in stall. (I'm talking daily street driving here, not track launching)
Car is 2800 lbs. Has a PTE 44 turbo, 52 lb injectors, 194/204 cam, mild head work, Maf Trans+, Extender chip, BSTC, and PAC alky setup.
Thanks
Paul
