Happy new year to everyone....
I'm a "sort of" new guy to the turbo Buick scene. By that, I mean, I've been a long time fan of the cars, but have never owned one. I've wanted one for 15 years now, but didn't have the loot to get one. Then when I did, I got side-tracked into DSMs for awhile. It wasn't GNs, but from what I can tell, it's as close as you can get without being invloved with turbo Buicks. Very similar attitudes from the community. Really, DSMs are the "rice" equivalent of turbo Buicks. Under-appreciated and over-powered with proper tuning and care. My current situation will finaly allow me to get into a GN, and I intend to follow through on my desire in the near future. I have my eye on a few vehicles in the area, and hopefully one will turn out to be the car I'm looking for.
Anyways, to get to my dilemna, I'm in the DC metro area. Alexandria, VA to be specific. Once I find the GN of my dreams and buy it, I'm really interested in getting into the turbo Buick community, but my location seems to be something of an issue. It seems I'm a little too far south for the Mid-Atlantic/North-East/New England groups, and too far North for the South-East groups. Is there anything going on in the Northern Virginia/Maryland area? I'm thinking there must be, but I'm having a hell of a time tracking anything down. Anyone in the area have anything to say on the matter? It would be appreciated, for sure.
Thanks,
Brad
