I wanted to know who is using them and what results with them? I just got a pair of the lower control arms and they look awesome.:)

If I could do it again, I would rather have a set from HRpartsNstuff.

I (and at least two other friends of mine) have had our frames welded and reinforced becuase of the damage cause by these bars and hard launches. They work great (1.54 60' on 5# launch) but after a while they will either break the welds on the forward mounting brackets, or they'll "ovalize" the mounting holes.

Even if I went with the HR control arms, I'd still get their brackets welded in.

-Banning.

Hi Guys!

I'm also on the MonteCarlo board, and the talk there is that using poly bushings at all suspension points is what causes all the frame bracket/ovalling holes damage. They are having good luck just using polys on one end of the bars and stock rubbers on the other end. This allows the rear axle to fully "articulate" throughout it's movement, instead of binding up (as will happen with ALL polys). Hope they are right, as we are installing SSM bars on my son's MCSS in a few weeks...

I have the southsides on my car.Upper and lower. The best I have done is a 1.9 60' with a pegleg.Still runs in the mid to high 7s in the 1/8th.

I've been using them on my Cutlass for a couple years now and have had no problems so far. I do re-torque the mounting bolts every 3 to 4 months because mine have loosened up on me before, so I check them every so often. I normally get 1.7xx 60' on nitrous and when I upped the shot this fall I was getting 1.59x 60'.

Thanks for some of the feedback!! I will be installing them soon. They will be welded. I drive this car once a weekend. It is more of a track car than street. I will install a ATR sway bar at the same time and box in my upper control arms.;)
