This topic fires my wife up more than anything because she worked her ass off to become a productive member of our society and ends up paying taxes for those too lazy to do the same.
In 1991 she came here from the Czech Republic and didn't speak a word of English.
In a year her mother taught her enough to get a job as a hostess, buy a car, and go to school. Her Mom came here 2 years earlier.
By 1996 she had her AA in Business Administration.
By the end of the year she had her real estate license and began selling residential and commercial property.
In 1997 she started at a University to pursue a Bachelor's degree.
In 1998 she quit the real estate business and moved onto a job as a Finance Manager at a Ford dealership.
Now this is important, in November 1998 she became a key member of our society by purchasing our '87 GN
In 2000 she became a US citizen and graduated with a BS in Accounting and a minor in Information Systems Management.
She spent 5 years in Acounting before having our son and becoming a stay at home mom.
And to think, all she had to do was get knocked up a few times and collect welfare checks.
I really admire my wife for how hard she has strugled to make a better life for herself and me too.
