According to the Connecticut Post (online) he's going to be in court this Tuesday.

The article also says, "The cruiser that Pisani was driving on June 13 is one of only two in the Milford department's 25-car patrol fleet equipped with a dashboard camera, Mello said. "

I don't even want to think about what would have happened if he had been driving a cruiser without a camera.
Striking car did not have a camera. The crusier he passed at 100 mph did.

If Pisani had just pulled over after the accident and never activated his emergency light the camera would not have recorded the crash. The camera goes back 60 seconds prior to activation which is why Anderson's accident was recorded. If Pisani had just exited his crusier with out putting his lights on there would be no recorded evidence.

So coming back from a call is an OK time to speed like that? At night? On a road like that? I don't think so. It doesn't matter if he would've dropped to a 'reasonable' speed (speed limit??) 2 minutes later. Why was he going that fast in the first place? If he was responding there would be a call and he wouldn't be on charges. Reckless driving.

I meant what would have happened if the cruiser with the camera had not had one? What then? Would've been an interesting conversation between both officers I'm sure.

Wow, you either have the eyes of an eagle, reflexes like lightening, or you are bias to police officers. I would love to see you survive against a vehicle speeding toward you at night on the street, not a highway with those animalistic reflexes against a police car which is not displaying any lights, or sounding a siren traveling at 94 miles an hour, remember at night. Oh yea, and he passed his own coworker who was going 70-something miles an hour, thank God that officer was traveing down the same road at the same time and got it all on tape. Otherwise, people like you with that type of mentality would enable an idiot like that speeding police officer with no where to go with a line up of excuses on how to get away with wreckless endangerment, and manslaughter. Wearing a badge does not excuse anyone from following the letter of the law. No one should get a free pass to do what you want just because of your status that's how wars are started. Go back and read Lord of the Flies! Oh, sorry maybe you've never heard of it.:confused::mad:

I knew this would get under someones skin  and no I sure am not bias to the police.

The fact of the matter is they failed to yield to on coming traffic. Sucks but thats the fact. You tellin me you never had someone pull out in front of you while your pulling a hole shot? Come on? Happens all the time. O but, my bad, we are not suppose to be doing that. Please. Everybody with a turbo Buick has had it happen.

Going down the road of life there are no guarantees that everyone is doing the speed limit. You have to pay attention and most people do not. They just turn.

O and if you can't tell a set of headlights are coming at you at a high rate of speed, then I suggest you stay home after dark.

At the end of the day this is a tragedy with no winners. We can bicker back and fourth but it will not bring back the lives of the kids that were killed and I am very sorry to the families. The cop is still at fault and should receive some type of punishment but this could have been any one of us in our Buick's.

burick you being in the city should know full well by now how fast idiots come up on you with all the morons with their crotch rockets. when those kids made the turn he was at least a block away!!!!they seen the headlights in the distance and turned. you would be dead now to if you were driving that car because you would have made that turn also thinking that car was quite some distance away.

It really is as simple as this...

Officer #1...Traveling 70+mph (Still more than fast enough to get to a call)...Does not run into and kill 2 teenagers,Somehow avoids this accident altogether.

Officer #2...Traveling 94mph...Crashes into a car with 2 teenagers Killing both,And ruining his own life in the process.

Whats the difference here between Officer #1 and Officer #2?

How does the speed play no part in this accident? The proof is on video that it absolutely does,Ask officer #1.

Did anyone read the very last line..

Officers might have been racing!

I can vouch for the officers that work 3rd shift or 2nd shift. on those slow nights it can be plain down right boring.

I know when I go home from work late at night I get a free escort to the next town line. They are checking for drunk status.

I am going to wait for a SUB zero night & do a little swirve over the white line routine. That will be payback for flying right up to the back of me scaring the bejeezus out of me. I will make he/she stand out in the cold! better yet ICE RAIN & ICE COLD. Payback is a BITCH
