i just put a 140 that was sold to me as being calibrated already.
I believe
its close to complete calibration but it seems like its 10-15 miles off, I dont know where to go in NJ or close by to see if its accurate. I dont feel like sending it back in the mail to where i got to from, so any help is gr8 thanx

If you have a GPS unit or can borrow one that has the speed indicator option this would do the trick or simply have someone pace you in their car a certain pre-arranged speed intervals.

You can also check your odometer by looking at the mile markers on the side of interstates. Check where your odometer is reading when you hit the marker and is should read exactly one mile when you pass the next marker. At least then you will know you are in the ballpark.

Also, if you have a higher tire than stock and have not changed the gear in the trans your reading will be off as well.

what size rear tire? what gears? these affect speedo calibration.
